Summary
Serves as a University expert in the application of the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) process improvement methodology and promoting operational excellence. In support of the Lean Six Sigma certification program curricula, serves as an instructor, mentor, trainer, consultant and curriculum content developer at a level commensurate with LSS certification level. Collaborates with colleagues in Strategic Planning, Executive Education, Office of the President, University at large, and affiliated professional learners/colleagues.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Curriculum, Instruction, and Mentoring: Provide instruction and project mentorship to University workforce learners in LSS program. Provide instruction and project mentorship to external health care professional learners in the Executive Education Lean Six Sigma (LSS) curricula for health care and/or higher education operations. Contribute to LSS curricula content development and design for both asynchronous and synchronous learning environments. Contribute to the content development and delivery of the Employee Empowered Excellence program. Includes professional development training in topics such as Microsoft Office Suite, project management, and other areas of workforce development need.
Operational Excellence and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): Provide consultation for University projects by implementing operational excellence, strategic planning, CQI principles and practices. Lead and/or mentor internal University LSS process improvement projects.
Communication and Administration: Act as a department liaison and consultant to university services/departments.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or commensurate project management experience
- Experience in operational excellence or quality improvement in healthcare or educational setting, or commensurate experience
- Master's degree
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Teaching experience with adult professional learners

Starting Salary: $62,167
