Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting Migration
- Audit and catalog existing NAV 2018 reports and dashboards
- Rebuild reports in Power BI using Business Central data sources
- Collaborate with IT to retire legacy ASP.NET/C#/SQL reporting
- Validate reports with stakeholders prior to go-live
- Learn and analyze production workflows, inventory, scheduling, and quality processes
- Identify gaps between current BC usage and optimal system capabilities
- Evaluate and recommend third-party add-ons or custom solutions
- Define and prioritize system improvements and extensions
- Drive consistent, correct system usage across teams
- Translate operational issues into system and process improvements
- Develop and maintain Power BI data models and reports
- Write DAX and use Power Query (M) for data transformation
- Design user-friendly dashboards backed by robust data models
- Partner with leadership on KPIs and executive dashboards
- Build operational reports for shop floor decision-making
- Manage Power BI environment (publishing, refresh, security)
- Document models and train users to support self-service reporting
- Maintain knowledge of BC configuration and data structures
- Coordinate with partners/support for updates and issue resolution
- Document system configurations and processes
- Monitor BC releases for relevant enhancements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on manufacturing experience
- Advanced Power BI skills (data modeling, DAX, Power Query)
- Experience connecting BI tools to ERP/SQL data sources
- Strong analytical and process improvement capabilities
- Effective communication across all organizational levels
- Self-starter comfortable working independently
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
- NAV 2018 familiarity
- Power BI integration with BC (OData, connectors)
- SQL Server / T-SQL experience
- Exposure to ASP.NET/C# environments
- Experience with ERP customizations or add-ons
- Knowledge of manufacturing ERP modules (BOMs, routings, inventory, etc.)
- Familiarity with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or CUI handling
- Understanding of data security, access controls, and audit logging
- Experience in regulated or compliant environments
- No
- Light to moderate physical effort required on a constant basis
- Steel or Composite Toe shoes are required for the production floor
- Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM; May vary with business need
- Work performed in an office and plant environment
