Business Developer

As one of the first members of the team, you'll work at the intersection of business and data. Together with commercial stakeholders across Europe, you'll turn insights into action and help shape how commercial decisions are made.

YOUR TEAM

You will join a newly established Business Development team at SELECTED. Together, we work to strengthen commercial decision-making by connecting business understanding, data and technology. Joining us from at an early stage, you'll have the opportunity to influence how we work, build strong relationships across the organisation and make an impact from day one.

Working closely with Country Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, Merchandise Managers and Partner Performance Managers across our European markets, you'll help shape how data creates value in the business. You'll also collaborate with colleagues in our buying organisation as well as BESTSELLER Tech to develop commercial data products that support our decision-making across the value chain.

YOUR ROLE

You'll help strengthen commercial decision-making across SELECTED by combining business understanding with data. Working closely with colleagues across our sales organisation and markets, you'll identify opportunities, develop tools and analyses and help colleagues make better and faster decisions across our markets.

More specifically, you will:

• Analyse commercial performance across partners and markets to identify opportunities and recommend where actions will create the greatest value
• Develop tools, analyses and AI-supported solutions that help our sales organisation make better and faster commercial decisions
• Drive the adoption of data-driven ways of working through stakeholder engagement, collaboration and training
• Support our buying organisation by bringing commercial insights into product-related decisions and processes
• Collaborate with BESTSELLER Tech to shape and continuously improve commercial data products that create value across the business.

This isn't a role where insights disappear into a report. You'll work closely with the people making commercial decisions, giving you the opportunity to challenge, advise and see the impact of your work first-hand. You'll also:

• Help build a new function with room to influence priorities and ways of working
• Work closely with commercial stakeholders across Europe, our buying organisation and BESTSELLER Tech

You're curious about what drives commercial performance and motivated by making a real impact through data. You enjoy navigating between business and analytics, and you're at your best when collaborating with others to solve complex commercial challenges.

In addition, we imagine that you:

• Hold a relevant Master's degree, for example within Economics and Business Administration (cand.merc.), Business Intelligence or Data Science, or a similar field
• Have experience working with commercial data and business insights, ideally within fashion, wholesale, retail or a comparable industry
• Understand how commercial performance, partner dynamics and product decisions influence business results
• Are comfortable working with analytical tools such as SQL, Python or similar, and enjoy using modern technologies, including AI, to develop analyses and practical solutions
• Communicate complex insights in a simple and actionable way to stakeholders with different backgrounds
• Communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken.
