This position will be a key role on the Cloud Solutions Architecture team, responsible for building and deploying cloud components, creating automation processes, and supporting operational functions—specifically targeting repeatable, scalable automation patterns that streamline hotel setup activities beyond any single team.
This engineer will join the Solutions Architecture team which focuses on architecting, refining, and implementing key client's platforms in target cloud providers. They will participate on a team of individuals focused on cloud platform initiatives, with work centered on deploying cloud solutions for Client’s Property Engagement Platform, while ensuring automation approaches are reusable across functions and stakeholders involved in hotel setupMore specifically, you will:
• Deliver automation that improves and standardizes hotel setup workflows, producing reusable patterns and capabilities that can be adopted across functions (not limited to a single team), while being implemented through PEP-aligned cloud solutions.
• Contribute to a robust project pipeline, coordinate with business and application teams on existing and new cloud patterns, and build solutions using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and processes and other popular cloud tools.
• Standardize current deployment pipeline in GitLab
• Identify and implement opportunities for infrastructure automation and improvements in configuration management, monitoring, and alerting to solve complex cloud infrastructure challenges supporting PEP and hotel setup enablement.
• Support the client's Hybrid Cloud environment, including escalation support for operations and support teams, participate in on-call rotations, and work alongside other engineering teams to ensure alignment to client's standards and processes.
• Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation using the Atlassian suite tools and use ServiceNow to engage production ITSM processes, ensuring automation and setup patterns are clearly documented for reuse across teams/functions.
• Apply security policies and provide guidance on vulnerability and patch management within the cloud estate, ensuring automation outcomes remain compliant and operationally sustainable.
The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
• Industry experience and knowledge of AWS Components (IAM, RDS, Lambda, S3, EKS, SQS, SNS and IoT), open-source Cloud Provisioning tools (Terraform, Vault), and industry pipeline – CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Gitlab)
• Job experience interacting with public cloud environments running both production and non-production workloads, including tuning, monitoring, and operations
• Job experience contributing to large-scale projects and solving complex business problems
To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
• 5-7 Years supporting applications in a production environment
• 2 or more Years of open-source cloud provisioning tools in production cloud environments (Terraform/CFT)
• 2 or more years of AWS Experience with multi account topology
• 2 or more years of industry experience with cloud monitoring and alerting (Cloudwatch, Datadog, Splunk)
• 2 or more years of Scripting Experience in production environments for the purpose of improving efficiency and automation (bash, python)
• 2 or more years of industry experience with large applications deployed in public cloud
