Tactical radio systems deployed in active defence programmes. A software delivery platform that needs to be exceptional.

A globally recognised name in secure communications is looking for a DevOps and Developer Infrastructure Engineer to join its mission-critical Secure Communications division in Munich. The team builds and maintains software for tactical radio systems deployed across defence and government programmes worldwide — and the delivery infrastructure has to match that standard. If you have delivered DevOps and developer tooling in a high-assurance environment, this is a role with real substance.

A globally recognised manufacturer of secure communications and test equipment is looking for an experienced DevOps and Developer Infrastructure Engineer to join its software development team in Munich. The division develops mission-critical Secure Communications products including tactical radio communication systems deployed across defence and government programmes worldwide.

This is a hands-on engineering role inside an agile Scrum team — not a pure operations or platform management position. You will write code and scripts, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and drive release automation across a regulated software development lifecycle.

THE ROLE

• Work actively within an agile Scrum team to deliver the full software development lifecycle for Secure Communications products, including CI/CD pipelines and quality metrics

• Develop code and scripts to automate the release build process — increasing speed, reliability and repeatability across teams

• Independently deliver Scrum team work packages within agreed schedules and budgets

• Coordinate and support other development teams on CI/CD topics; share expertise across teams

• Conduct code reviews to promote knowledge transfer and continuous improvement

• Monitor technology trends and proactively propose improvements to the development toolchain and processes

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent qualification

• Solid experience in software development and DevOps with a genuine interest in modern software engineering

• Strong knowledge of Linux and Unix systems

• Hands-on production experience with Python, CI/CD tools (Git, GitLab), Docker, CMake, Grafana and databases

• Business-fluent German (C1 or C2) — mandatory. English B2 or above.

• EU or NATO nationality — mandatory

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Experience with the Rust programming language

THE DETAILS

• Location: Munich, Germany (hybrid — up to 60% home office)

• Working hours: 40 hours per week

• Salary: Up to €120,000 p.a. (negotiable)

• Start: ASAP — all notice periods considered

• Contract: Up to 24-Month Secure AUG Engagement

• Languages: German (business-fluent / C1 or C2) — mandatory. English (B2+).

• Nationality: EU or NATO nationals only
