About Swoop:Swoop Technologies has a mission to organize and make accessible the world’s military and critical infrastructure. We are building a distributed operating system, SwoopOS, that decomposes the world’s equipment into a distributed robotic embodiment upon which a new generation of distributed systems, autonomous systems, and agentic AI can be built and deployed using our SDK, Valhalla, and operated via our browser, Surf. Imagine the world’s equipment - consisting of the electrical grid, communications architectures, manufacturing facilities, and militaries as a trapped supply of inputs possessing the potential to ensure Western military advantage, sovereign control of economically competitive manufacturing capacity, or the creation of a grid that fosters energy dominance. Swoop is liberating these trapped assets, allowing them to contribute to the world’s future as a series of building blocks to be combined at the speed of software, limited by only the hard constraints of physics and the soft constraints of safety. That is what Swoop is building. Not in the data center or cloud or edge on-premise computing node. In the physical world. This is a hybrid position that requires someone based in Minneapolis/St. Paul who can work in-office 3+ days per weekWhat You’ll Do:
- Package and automate our Platform, which includes Linux and Kubernetes software, to deploy on bare metal and the cloud, in both internet-connected and secure air gap environments
- Develop CI pipelines and test automation for the deployment of our Platform software
- Assist developers with Linux and Kubernetes issues
- Assist deployment engineers with Platform issues
- Manage and monitor development CI resources that run the Platform using the test automation
- Bash/shell and python scripting experience
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes
- A propensity to automate everything you do
- Thorough experience with Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Linux based Containerization such as Docker
- Experience working both in the terminal and with user interfaces required for managing IT resources
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, creating and managing VMs using industry standard tools such as VMWare, Proxmox, and KVM
- Experience managing backup resources, snapshots, and conducting failover events
- Experience using git version control and DevOps software such as Gitlab
- Experience creating, troubleshooting, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Ability and willingness to obtain a US Security Clearance
- Experience in hardening infrastructure resources such as STIGing and firewall work.
- Ansible, Terraform, and AWS experience
- Networking expertise
- Experience packaging internal and internet-based software to work in air gap environments
- Experience developing and deploying Kubernetes Helm charts
