Join our Human Resources and Employee Experience Chief Data Office, where you will strengthen the firm's data management capabilities and governance. You will partner with Business Controls and Workforce Technology teams to advance consistent data stewardship across classification, quality, protection, storage, retention, destruction, use, and privacy. In this role, you will help improve our data risk posture and operational resilience by embedding scalable governance frameworks and controls.

As a Data Governance Lead - Human Resources in Human Resources and Employee Experience Chief Data Office, you will drive governance across key HR data domains and help ensure data is managed responsibly and consistently. You will support subject matter experts and partners to implement data management frameworks, procedures, and training. You will use metrics and control insights to prioritize remediation that improves data quality and strengthens controls. You will communicate risks and progress to senior stakeholders and governance forums.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and operationalize data management frameworks, procedures, and training programs to embed best practices across HR data domains.
  • Develop and present governance materials and insights to senior leadership and risk management councils to enable informed decisions and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Analyze data risk management metrics, Chief Data Office operational metrics, and technology control procedures to develop remediation strategies that improve data quality and control effectiveness.
  • Monitor data management processes, controls, and policies and implement enhancements based on performance indicators, regulatory requirements, and evolving standards.
  • Expand operational metrics and streamline governance frameworks to support scalable and sustainable data management practices.
  • Prepare and aggregate evidence for data management audits, regulatory examinations, and operational risk reviews to support readiness and compliance.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Control functions to meet regulatory expectations and data governance standards and escalate key risks and issues to appropriate governance bodies.
  • Lead the HR Data Ownership Program by fostering accountability, stewardship, and clear ownership, and by maintaining data owner training and education materials.

Required Qualifications. Capabilities, and Skills

  • Proven experience leading data governance, compliance, and controls programs within a complex, regulated financial services environment.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and cross-functional partners including Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data risk metrics and controls into actionable remediation strategies and governance enhancements.
  • Strong expertise in data risk management, including data classification, quality, protection, and privacy frameworks.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a track record of delivering cross-functional initiatives on time and within scope.
  • Intellectual curiosity and agility to learn quickly, prioritize competing demands, and adapt in a dynamic global environment.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements impacting data management and privacy in the financial services industry.
