Overview:
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who will support our NYS client by bridging development and operations across enterprise applications, middleware, infrastructure, and deployment workflows. The consultant will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, support critical platforms and environments, strengthen system reliability and security, and resolve operational issues for the Data Management and Shared Services program. This role also supports application deployments, ETL operations, vulnerability remediation, and strategic technology initiatives.
Duties:
- Provide development teams with GitLab support, including version control, merge conflict resolution, and access management.
- Design, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with enterprise teams to improve development and deployment workflows.
- Lead upgrade and maintenance activities for enterprise applications, including Blueprint, Tasktop, Jira, PowerCenter, and Informatica MDM.
- Identify and remediate critical and high-severity vulnerabilities across supported enterprise platforms.
- Perform daily operational tasks to maintain the continuous availability, reliability, and integrity of supported systems.
- Serve as a primary operational support contact by resolving incidents, communicating status, and implementing proactive monitoring strategies.
- Install, configure, and validate InRule environments across Development and Quality Assurance stages, and coordinate readiness for non-production and future production environments.
- Deploy and configure FHS/HRS Java applications and APIs.
- Troubleshoot ETL job failures, performance issues, scheduling, and operational constraints using OpCon.
- Install, configure, and support HRS-related middleware and infrastructure products.
- Diagnose and resolve high-availability issues, including MongoDB replica set failures and ActiveMQ active/passive failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technology infrastructure, enhance applications, and deliver tools aligned with strategic initiatives.
- Address defects and enhancements throughout the application support lifecycle and participate in post-implementation incident resolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3–7 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- 3–7 years of experience in DevOps and middleware administration, including designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab; version control; merge conflict resolution; and access management.
- Demonstrated understanding of both development and operational aspects of the software lifecycle, business process management, and API management products.
- 2+ years of experience working in an Integrated Eligibility System program across workstreams that include Data Management and Shared Services within a Health and Human Services setting.
- 3+ years of experience supporting and maintaining enterprise applications such as Blueprint, Tasktop, Jira, Informatica, PowerCenter, or Informatica MDM, including upgrades, maintenance, and high-severity vulnerability remediation.
- 3+ years of experience managing InRule environments, including installation, configuration, and validation across DEV and QA, and deploying FHS/HRS Java applications, including ETL job troubleshooting and scheduling with OpCon.
- 3+ years of experience administering middleware, databases, and messaging systems in high-availability configurations, including diagnosing and resolving MongoDB replica set failures and ActiveMQ active/passive failures.
