Client:

Leading global Layer 1 blockchain ecosystem with a strong focus on high-speed, low-cost decentralized applications is expanding its presence in Japan. As they grow their foundation in Japan, they are seeking for a Japan Head to drive business development, ecosystem growth initiatives and full Japan market entry across Japan.


Responsibilities:

● Develop and drive Japan market entry strategy and identify opportunities with banking partners, key to have them adopt solutions across payments, DeFi, NFTs, gaming, stablecoin and more

● Initially key in driving Web3 / Blockchain product adoption with Japan's top banks, foregoing partnerships with online banks, digital banks, crypto exchanges, and fintech partners

●Drive ecosystem and community engagements through crypto communities, VCs and Accelerator programs

● Work closely with global teams across product, marketing, engineering, compliance and legal

● Being able to maneuver Japan market expansion plans in accordance to the changes in local regulations


Requirements:

● 8 - 15 years of experience in Sales, business development with banks / FSI sector, ideally in Crypto or Web3/Blockchain industries, otherwise Banking or Fintech industries

● Strong strategic planning and analytics ability, with expertise executing growth-driving, full-funnel GTM strategies with a start-up mentality.

● Strong knowledge of Blockchain/Web3 market in Japan or passion / interest in this field

● Professional fluency in English and Japanese and a deep network and understanding of cultural norms in Japan.
