Chief Product Owner – Fintech / BNPL / Cash loan | Uzbekistan

Paylater is a microfinance and BNPL platform founded in 2022, operating across online and offline channels with 400+ partner companies, offering POS credit and consumer loans.

Reporting to shareholders/executive leadership, on behalf of the shareholders of Paylater, we're looking for a Chief Product Officer to take full ownership of our core credit product line and build the team behind it.

The Role

This is a leadership role with direct visibility to shareholders and a mandate to shape product strategy, not just execute it. You will:

• Own the full product P&L for online lending — strategy, roadmap, and outcomes
• Build and lead a team of Product Owners, setting priorities and holding them accountable for delivery
• Drive core unit economics: NCM, APR, cost of risk, portfolio quality
• Set product strategy across scoring, anti-fraud, disbursement, and repayment, translating it into a roadmap your POs execute
• Represent product in shareholder and leadership discussions — you'll be expected to defend decisions with data, not just present updates
• Align Risk, Finance, and Operations around a shared view of product priorities
• Use SQL and BI tools yourself to validate decisions rather than relying solely on reporting from your team

The Ideal Candidate

• 7+ years in Product Management, with 2+ years managing/leading other PMs or POs, ideally in fintech/lending
• Deep expertise in the online lending lifecycle: scoring, anti-fraud, disbursement, repayment
• Strong grasp of credit product unit economics and how to move them
• Experience with payment infrastructure and accounting platforms
• Hands-on SQL skills — you can run your own analysis, not just ask for reports
• Track record of setting product strategy and turning it into structured engineering specs and roadmaps
• Bachelor's degree or higher
