Location: Wellington, Somerset (1-day a week on-site)
Salary: Up to £52,000 DOE

The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and growing technology organisation, is seeking a C++ Software Developer to join its expanding Research & Development team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with a minimum of 12-24 months’ commercial C++ experience (including current role) who is looking to broaden their technical skillset and work on innovative software solutions used by organisations across both public and private sectors.
The business has a strong track record of growth, invests heavily in employee development, and offers exposure to a diverse range of technologies, including cloud platforms, APIs, DevOps practices, and Microsoft development tools.
The Role
As a C++ Software Developer, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications while contributing to the delivery of high-quality releases.
Initially, you'll work on internal tools, web-based applications, and APIs, with opportunities to expand into a wider portfolio of bespoke software products and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain software applications using C++
- Build, test and support software releases
- Develop and maintain internal tools, APIs and web-based applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions
- Troubleshoot, debug and enhance existing applications
- Contribute to continuous improvement and development best practices
- Gain exposure to technologies including C#, .NET-Framework, MFC and DevOps
- Work with modern cloud technologies across Azure and AWS
About You
