Key Responsibilities
Institutional & Corporate Growth (B2B)
- Identify and pitch to institutional clients, including hedge funds, family offices, asset managers, and proprietary trading firms in Bahrain and the wider GCC.
- Onboard corporate clients seeking corporate crypto treasury solutions, payment gateways, or OTC trading services.
- Develop relationships with liquidity providers and market makers to enhance exchange depth.
- Manage the end-to-end B2B sales cycle, from initial outreach and platform demonstration to contract negotiation and successful onboarding.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute high-impact retail user acquisition campaigns, referral programs, and affiliate networks.
- Build a pipeline of HNWIs and VIP traders, offering them white-glove onboarding and tailored VIP account services.
- Attend and represent the exchange at local and regional blockchain, fintech, and financial networking events to drive brand awareness and user adoption.
- Forge strategic alliances with traditional financial institutions (banks, payment processors) in Bahrain to create fiat on/off ramp synergies.
- Partner with regional blockchain projects, web3 communities, and influencers to funnel traffic to the exchange.
- Cross-sell exchange products, including staking, yield generation, and API integration, maximizing the lifetime value of acquired partners.
- Act as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback across all segments to inform the product roadmap and user experience enhancements.
- Ensure all business development activities strictly adhere to the Central Bank of Bahrain’s (CBB) Crypto-Asset Module and local AML/KYC regulations.
- Track and report on KPIs, conversion rates, and pipeline health using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Experience: 8+ years of proven success in Business Development, B2B Sales, or Partnerships. At least 1-2 years specifically within the cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech space (Preffered).
- Network: An existing, warm network of institutional players, family offices, or HNWI clients in Bahrain and the GCC region is a massive advantage.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of digital assets, spot/margin trading, OTC desks, APIs, and the broader Web3 ecosystem.
- Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with the financial regulatory landscape in Bahrain (CBB) and the MENA region.
- Skills: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical and financial concepts to both retail novices and sophisticated institutional traders.
- Language: Fluent in English (Arabic is highly preferred to engage local markets effectively).
