Lead Fullstack (Go/React) Engineer

Our client, Fortune 500 company is seeking a Lead Fullstack (Go/React) Engineer to serve as the technical visionary for their fraud detection platform, combating insurance fraud through data-driven, AI-enhanced technology. This role is part of a larger strategy to deliver a scalable, configurable, and intelligent platform that exceeds client expectations across a diverse, global client base.

This is a fully remote, long-term position with a required overlap of US working hours (2-6 PM CET minimum, 2-7 PM CET preferred), with occasional in-person team sessions in Prague (roughly once a quarter).

Responsibilities

1. Own the technical roadmap for a cutting-edge insurance fraud detection SaaS platform, focused on performance, scalability, and configurability.

2. Lead and mentor a high-performing, full-stack development team, supervising, reviewing, and approving developers' work.

3. Design and build complex, modular platform features, developing backend services in Golang, collaborating on the frontend in React/TypeScript, and managing inter-service communication via gRPC.

4. Own PostgreSQL database management, writing SQL/PL-SQL queries and optimizing for data integrity and performance.

5. Drive the integration of AI-driven features, partnering with data science and analytics teams to enhance fraud detection accuracy and automation.

6. Act as the primary technical liaison across US, EU, and India-based teams, aligning roadmaps and accelerating delivery.

7. Lead code reviews and champion coding standards, security protocols, and documentation across the development lifecycle.

Work Conditions

• Type: Full-time & Long-term contract work

• Location: Remote (99%) in Europe; must be able to travel freely within Europe for workshops.

• US Time Zone Overlap: Required (2 PM - 6 PM CET)

• Contract with European LLC

Requirements

1. Strong full-stack expertise spanning Golang (backend) and React/TypeScript (frontend)

2. Proven experience leading and mentoring cross-functional, distributed development teams

3. Backend experience with Golang, REST, gRPC, Azure Services, Azure Kubernetes, Azure Redis, Azure Blob, Azure CI/CD/ADO

4. Frontend experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, Tailwind

5. Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including complex SQL/PL-SQL queries and performance tuning

6. Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving critical, client-impacting technical issues

7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for varied stakeholders

8. Security Best Practices: Knowledge of API authentication methods such as OAuth and JWT.

9. Ability to participate in the discussions and lead the technical discussions

10. Have a consultancy mindset → always try to find a solution for the client

11. Make decisions about the solution and design
