Job Summary

As a Market Surveillance / Abuse Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with market integrity regulations. You will monitor trading activities, analyze data for potential market abuse, and collaborate with internal teams to uphold ethical trading practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor trading activities across various markets to detect potential market abuse, including insider trading and market manipulation.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, present findings to the Compliance team and senior management, and document suspicious activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with local and EU regulations, ensuring compliance with MiFID II and MAR requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Compliance, Legal, and Trading teams to provide insights and recommend improvements to compliance practices.
  • Training & Awareness: Support the development of training materials and awareness programs related to market abuse.
  • Data Analysis: Use analytics tools and software to analyze trading data and identify suspicious patterns.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or Trading, with a focus on market abuse.
  • Strong understanding of MiFID II and MAR (Market Abuse Regulation).
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills in English and German (additional languages are a plus).
