Country Manager, Germany - Crypto Exchange

We're partnering with one of the world's leading digital asset exchanges as they continue to expand their European footprint. As part of their growth strategy, they're seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead their German business, driving commercial growth, local market strategy and regulatory engagement.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who understands both the crypto ecosystem and the nuances of operating within one of Europe's most important regulated markets.

The Opportunity

Reporting into regional leadership, you'll own the strategy and execution for Germany, taking responsibility for market growth, brand positioning, partnerships and commercial performance. You'll act as the face of the business locally, working closely with regulators, strategic partners and the wider crypto ecosystem while collaborating with global product, marketing, compliance and operations teams.

This role is ideal for someone who combines commercial leadership with a deep understanding of digital assets and has successfully scaled a crypto business within the DACH region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Germany, driving user acquisition, revenue growth and market expansion.
• Lead all local go-to-market initiatives, including marketing campaigns, partnerships, community engagement and industry events.
• Build and strengthen relationships across the German crypto, fintech and financial services ecosystem.
• Represent the business with regulators, industry bodies and key strategic stakeholders.
• Ensure the business remains aligned with evolving European regulatory requirements, including MiCA, MiFID II and electronic money regulations.
• Identify market opportunities through competitor analysis, customer insights and emerging industry trends.
• Partner closely with Product, Compliance, Legal and Operations teams to deliver local initiatives aligned with global objectives.
• Build, mentor and lead a high-performing local team while fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
• Act as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the business across the German market.

About You

We're looking for an established commercial leader who has successfully grown businesses within the crypto or digital assets industry and understands the unique challenges of operating in regulated European markets.

• Fluency in both German and English.
• Significant leadership experience within a cryptocurrency exchange, digital asset platform or fintech business.
• Proven success leading market expansion, commercial growth or country operations.
• Strong background across marketing, business development and strategic partnerships.
• Deep understanding of the German market and broader DACH crypto ecosystem.
• Solid knowledge of European regulatory frameworks, including MiCA, MiFID II and related financial services regulation.
• An established network across crypto, fintech, financial institutions and industry associations.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both internal and external audiences.
• A commercially driven mindset, backed by strong analytical and strategic thinking.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities evolve quickly.
