At People Made Machines (PMM), we believe the best systems start with solid foundations, and that means good data, smart infrastructure, and purposeful design. As an AI- and data-focused tech consultancy, we’re looking for experienced Data Engineers who care about building the infrastructure that makes intelligent and other high-impact systems possible.

We placed 2nd in the Norwegian AI Championship 2026, among more than 3100 participants. We're growing fast, and we’re now looking for Senior Data Engineers to join our on-site team in Oslo.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll take ownership of data architecture, pipelines, and tooling, building solid data foundations for advanced AI systems and other high-impact solutions.

You’ll work closely with other engineers and domain experts to design robust infrastructure that scales with the ambitions of our clients.

What we’re looking for

Don’t meet every requirement? That’s okay. We value different paths, experiences, and ways of thinking. If this sounds exciting, we’d still love to hear from you.

  • A mindset rooted in kindness, empathy, and collaboration, we’re looking for good people who care about others, not just the code.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
  • Strong programming skills in Python. Other object-oriented languages is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Experience with ETL, data modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Ability to build and maintain scalable data pipelines.
  • Experience with event driven architecture is a plus.
  • Consulting experience is a plus.
  • Relevant education (BS/MS) or you’re proudly self-taught. We care more about your thinking than your diploma.

PMM has a people-first approach, recognizing that the success and well-being of our employees not only drive our organizational achievements, but also define the character and strength of our company culture.

We value effective communication, collaboration, and a willingness to share knowledge. At our core, we believe that kindness matters, we are dedicated to our work, yet we prioritize cultivating a workplace where respect and empathy are as crucial as technical skills.

Our commitment to you

  • A community that values curiosity, clarity, and kindness.
  • A strong sales engine so you can focus on the work you love.
  • Flexibility and trust, we listen and adapt to your needs.
  • Attractive compensation package, full salary during parental leave (up to 10G), and wellness support.
  • Real learning opportunities, and support to grow how you want.
  • Striking a good balance between work and play, with genuinely enjoyable social events.
