Senior Data Engineer (dbt / Snowflake)

Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite)

We're partnering with a well-established financial services organization undergoing a major enterprise-wide data transformation. Backed by executive leadership, this team is building a modern cloud-native data platform from the ground up and is looking for experienced Data Engineers to help define the future state.

This is an opportunity to join early in the transformation, influence engineering standards, and build scalable data solutions that will support enterprise initiatives across analytics, customer data, risk, treasury, and fraud.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable ELT pipelines using dbt and Snowflake
  • Develop modular dbt models including staging, intermediate, and mart layers
  • Build reusable dbt macros, tests, documentation, and lineage
  • Design dimensional data models that support enterprise analytics
  • Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, warehouse sizing, and cost optimization
  • Develop data solutions using Python and SQL
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data products
  • Participate in CI/CD deployment processes and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Help establish engineering standards and best practices for a growing data platform

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with dbt
  • Strong Snowflake experience
  • Advanced SQL and Python
  • Experience building production ELT pipelines
  • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD

Nice to Have

  • Terraform
  • Kafka
  • Financial services experience
  • Data quality and automated testing experience
