Software Engineer II
Indexed description
As a Software Engineer II within Servicing Technology, you’ll own full-stack features that power the client-facing and team member-facing servicing applications for millions of Rocket homeowners. Servicing Technology is accelerating through a full-scale System of Record modernization, and engineering velocity is a strategic asset.
This role is for an engineer who wants to own meaningful product outcomes — building across the front end and back end, deploying to production, and iterating based on real usage. You will use AI as a core part of how you design, code, test, debug, and ship software, and you’ll begin mentoring earlier-career engineers as you grow.
About the role
Own the full lifecycle of full-stack features, from technical design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
Build across the front end (Next.js or React with a NestJS GraphQL integration layer) and back end (.NET / C#, NestJS GraphQL).
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, analysts, and other engineers to shape the servicing experience end to end.
Contribute to decisions around architecture, tooling, and best practices.
Deploy and operate applications on AWS and Amazon EKS through CI/CD pipelines.
Use AI tools and agentic development workflows to increase engineering speed and improve quality.
Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and foster a culture of learning and collaboration.
About you
3+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
Hands-on experience with a modern front-end framework (Next.js or React) and a NestJS GraphQL integration layer.
Hands-on experience with back-end development in .NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL.
Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS and Amazon EKS / Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience using AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers.
Brings a product mindset: curious about user behavior, driven to improve the user experience, and motivated by business impact.
