Business Intelligence Specialist - Remote

For a well-known Islamic Bank in Bahrain, we are looking for Business Intelligence Engineer to work Remotly. The BI Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the bank, with a focus on Treasury, Investments, and Financial Institutions. The role involves transforming raw data into actionable insights, building dashboards and reporting frameworks, and collaborating with stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Treasury analytics and reporting roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards using Power BI and other BI tools.
• Deliver actionable insights, predictive analytics, and scenario simulations to support decision-making.
• Integrate datasets from multiple sources, optimize SQL queries, and ensure data consistency.
• Identify and resolve data gaps, ensuring compliance with governance, security, and privacy policies.
• Train and support business users, communicate insights effectively, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5–8 years in BI and data analytics, preferably in banking/financial services.
• Advanced expertise in Power BI, Python, Matlab, and SQL.
• Banking domain expertise (Treasury, Investments, FI).
• Knowledge of BI architecture, data modeling, and governance.
• Knowledge of data warehousing (SAS, Microsoft SQL Server).
• Familiarity with cloud BI platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Exposure to AI/ML, NLP, and computer vision techniques.
• Ability to translate business objectives into analytical solutions and manage BI projects.
• Certifications: Microsoft Power BI or equivalent BI certifications (preferred).
