Working at Tiqets

The Analytics Engineering Team is the critical link between Data and Business teams. You'll work closely with our Data Engineers and Data Analysts, and help guide the company's approach to data governance as it matures.


As an Analytics Engineer, you will be the guardian of our data ecosystem, ensuring that our data is not only available but is high-quality, performant, and strictly governed.


What you will do

Design, build, and maintain dbt models powering our behavioral analytics and event-tracking pipeline, one of the largest and most actively used parts of our data platform, processing high-volume clickstream data daily


  • Data Curation & Modeling, own and improve analytical data modeling practices across projects
  • Help evolve our data governance framework by improving our Governance projects, ranging from data compliance to access control
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of our dbt pipelines and Looker infrastructure, proactively identifying automation and cost-efficiency opportunities
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and stakeholders across teams to keep our modeling standards consistent and well understood
  • Review code within our analytics projects to help the team maintain best practices as we grow
  • Contribute to improving data infrastructure, from pipeline health to Looker usage
  • Get to the bottom of data issues, determine root causes and build solutions that resolve them permanently, not just patch symptoms
  • AI adoption, contribute to initiatives for unlocking AI in our analytical and reporting processes (DWH/BI Tooling)

Responsibilities

What you will bring

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Data or Analytics Engineer on data-intensive applications
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation
  • Proven track record of working with a modern cloud data warehouse like Databricks, Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or a comparable orchestration tool
  • Python proficiency, with a track record of writing clean, maintainable code
  • Experience with Looker or a comparable BI/semantic-layer tool
  • Experience with cross-functional/cross-team collaboration, with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Capacity to thrive in a scale-up environment, pragmatic attitude, ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with others, and take ownership of your work
  • Living in the Netherlands/EU


Nice to Have

  • Experience with data access control and masking patterns in dbt
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and regulatory compliance considerations (e.g., GDPR, SOX, PCI DSS) as they apply to data platforms and data warehouses.
  • Curiosity about data observability and lineage tooling


For this role, we have a salary bracket of €4,200 to €5,200 per month. Your specific placement within the range will be determined by your professional background and experience
