Position: Data Engineer

Location: Ftown, Ho Chi Minh City

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong experience in cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience in data engineering, good English communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines (batch and/or streaming).
• Build and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT processes on AWS or GCP.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, data integrity, and system performance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and automation for data workflows.
• Participate in architecture design and continuously improve data platform scalability and security.
• Document technical designs, processes, and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP data services (e.g., S3/Redshift/Glue/EMR or GCS/BigQuery/Dataflow/Dataproc).
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or Scala.
• Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark (PySpark is a plus).
• Good understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL design patterns.
• Experience working with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) is a plus.
• Good English communication skills (able to work directly with international clients or teams).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
