NexVenture is partnering with an exceptional, best‑in‑class data team to hire an Analytics Engineer - a newly created role for someone who enjoys building clear, dependable data models and shaping best practice across a modern analytics stack.
You’ll report to the Senior Manager of Data and join a tight‑knit, high‑performing team, working closely with an existing Analytics Engineer and the broader engineering and data group.
It’s a collaborative environment where people care about craft, clarity, and building data foundations the business can trust.
This team has a fantastic culture, supportive leadership, and a considered approach to how they build and use data.
It’s a great fit for someone who wants to have impact, partner closely across the business, and help lift the standard of analytics engineering.
As part of the Data & Analytics team, you’ll help promote the value of data across the organisation. You’ll be central to building and maintaining high‑quality data models and pipelines that drive strategic decisions and support AI‑driven workflows.
About the opportunity:
In this role, you’ll build and maintain high‑quality SQL and dbt models that the business can rely on for clarity and decision‑making. You’ll develop reliable, scalable pipelines using Python and modern orchestration tools, ensuring data flows smoothly and consistently across the organisation.
You’ll partner closely with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to understand their data needs, turning complex business questions into trusted, reusable data models. A key part of the role involves lifting standards across data quality, documentation, testing, and modelling.
You’ll also work with real‑time and high‑volume data sources, supporting teams across analytics,
marketing, logistics, and product with the datasets they need to operate effectively.
What you bring:
- 4–5 years’ experience in an Analytics‑leaning Data Engineering role, ideally within a GCP environment
- Deep SQL and dbt capability, with strong modelling fundamentals (semantic or dimensional)
- Solid Python skills for integration, analysis, and pipeline development
- Cloud experience, with GCP strongly preferred
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Fivetran, clickstream ingestion, or similar high‑volume data sources
- Understanding of AI‑driven workflows or agentic tooling for code generation, monitoring, or data quality automation
- Confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, translating business needs into clear technical requirements and dependable data models
- Bonus experience with Airflow, Snowplow, or e‑commerce data environments
Why this role:
- Newly created position in a growing data team
- Hybrid working - Monday and Fridays from home
- Exceptional culture and data leaders you’ll genuinely enjoy working with
- Modern stack, strong engineering practices, and meaningful business problems
- Permanent role with long‑term growth
