Data Architect

We're looking for a data architect to design, build, and maintain systems that facilitate data extraction, transformation, and upload.

Job Type: 12-month Contract

Work Location: Carolina, Puerto Rico (Hybrid)

What you’ll do:

• Serve as project’s technical lead in the migration of reports from Business Objects platform to Power BI.
• Design, build, and maintain data architecture (database, data warehouses, and data processing systems)
• Develop and manage data pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Collaborate with data analysts to understand data needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Implement data quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure data security and privacy, complying with company regulations and policies.
• Document data processes and architectures.
• Support patch implementations on servers (database, applications) and periodic password changes.

What you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or related field.
• More than 5 years' experience in data engineering, including data architecture design and management.
• Demonstrable experience in data engineering, including data architecture design and management.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. Mongo DB)
• Knowledge and experience in the use of the Microsoft Integration Services tool (SSIS Processes)
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Attetion to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Intermediate experience with dataflows and Power BI platform.
• Knowledge of “Paginated Reports” and “Direct Connections”
• Fully fluent in English.
