Data Engineer

This role combines responsibilities of both a Data Engineer and a Data Analyst, covering the full data lifecycle, from data ingestion and transformation to analysis and business insight delivery. The position requires both strong technical skills and a solid understanding of business needs, ensuring that data is reliable, accessible, and actionable.

Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Architecture

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and perform ad-hoc data analysis
• Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Automate data workflows and develop data tools using Python
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data transformations and pipelines
• Develop and optimize data models (fact and dimension structures)
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across systems
• (Optional) Work with medallion architecture and tools such as dbt
• (Optional) Manage and optimize data platforms (e.g., Snowflake)

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support business decision-making
• Analyze data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights
• Define, calculate, and monitor KPIs and business metrics
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and data models
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and deep-dive investigations
• Apply best practices in data modeling (e.g., Star Schema)

Business Collaboration

• Gather, clarify, and refine requirements from business stakeholders
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users
• Communicate insights in a clear, structured, and business-friendly

• Power BI / Qlik – reporting and visualization
• Azure Data Factory – data integration
• Snowflake – data warehousing and modeling
