Data platform engineer

The foundation everything else is built on. If it breaks, everything breaks. That is why this role matters.

We are looking for a senior Data Platform Engineer to join our Cloud team at Festina Group Technology. You will build and run the data infrastructure that everything else depends on. Pipelines from device, app, backend and sales. A warehouse that actually performs. Data that is available, reliable and costs what it should.

What you will do

• Build and maintain data pipelines across device, app, backend and sales
• Set up and maintain the data warehouse so it stays fast, clean and cost-effective
• Own performance and cost optimisation across the platform
• Make sure data is available and reliable for the teams who depend on it
• Handle data governance, access control and security across the platform

What you bring

• 6 or more years building data pipelines, batch or streaming
• Solid experience with cloud data platforms. BigQuery, Redshift or similar; you know at least one well. Strong Python skills. Or something comparable and a good reason why
• A real understanding of distributed systems and data architecture, not just the surface level
• Experience with data governance, IAM, access control and IT security
• AWS knowledge
