Accountant (AP & AR) (6-month Contract) - Soho House Hong Kong

Account Payable:

• Regular statement reconciliations of all suppliers across all entities
• Investigating and resolution of supplier queries
• Review and investigation of any unallocated cash
• Assisting with debit balances, requesting refunds where appropriate
• Supporting any process and system changes that are implemented for the improvement of the AP Process and deliverables
• Assisting with Invoice processing via Adaco
• Raising Inter-company journals
• ERP testing and ensuring best practice
• Working closely with site General Managers and Procurement teams to ensure invoices are processed correctly and efficiently
• Processing all utility invoices

Account Receivable:

• Checking all sales have been posted to the Finance System and check for any discrepancies between POS and Finance system.
• Posting and reconciling of all membership receipts
• Weekly reconciliation between SAGE, Bank, Opera, and My Micros.
• Investigating and resolving variances for under/over banking from payment providers to POS system
• Issuing sales invoices and reconciling payments when received
• Reconciling all deposits and receipts for Events/Private hire/future events
• Reconciling all e-commerce revenue from the Soho House APP.
• Posting bank transactions to SAGE and weekly reconciliation, allocating receipts and payments to correct nominals.
• Accurate posting and processing of all intercompany charges
• Gift Card reconciliations
• Support the team to complete team objectives.
• FX revaluations
• Analysis of event income and large data sets
• Balance Sheet preparation and reconciliations
• Create Audit reports and support with any Audit queries
• Setting up ad hoc payments
• Processing all site refunds
• Support and testing for any new Finance Transformations
• Carry out any other duties requested by managers.

*This contract role may be renewed based on the beisness needs.

What we look for…

• Diploma in Accountancy or other related disciplines
• Possess no less than 5 years related experience, F&B or Hospitality industry is preferred
• Well organized, motivated and detail-oriented
• Love to interact with different people and acquire great communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Accounting System
• Ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Fluent in English and Cantonese
• Immediate availability is highly preferred
