We’re looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to join our team and support the administration, performance, availability, and security of enterprise Linux environments.
This role is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing Linux servers, while supporting system upgrades, patch management, automation, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and virtualization platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, including RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, and SUSE.
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security.
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and system security settings.
• Configure and maintain networking services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, FTP, HTTP, and HTTPS.
• Troubleshoot operating system, hardware, storage, and network-related issues.
• Manage storage solutions, including LVM, RAID, NFS, and SAN environments.
• Configure and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Implement and manage system monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Automate administrative tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, and technical changes.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, hardening standards, and best practices.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Linux Administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, and SUSE.
• Experience with shell scripting, especially Bash.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.
• Experience with LVM, XFS, EXT4, NFS, RAID, and storage management.
• Familiarity with system monitoring and logging tools.
• Experience with package management tools such as YUM, DNF, APT, and Zypper.
• Knowledge of SSH, SSL/TLS, Linux security hardening, and access control.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Ansible automation.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Foreman/Katello, Red Hat Satellite, or patch management solutions.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, or Nagios.
• Experience with log management solutions such as Graylog, ELK, or Loki.
• Cloud knowledge in AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
• RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
