Senior Software Engineer

We're a stealth AI hardware startup in Redwood City — Series A, small team, moving fast. We're building a suite of consumer devices that integrate voice, vision, and AI, and we need a strong full-stack engineer to work on the software experience layer.

We are extremely well funded and are led by an ex unicorn founder w/ tier 1 lead investor. We’re sure you’ll be excited about the company and the potential!

This is a broad role. You'll build across companion apps, home integrations, general UI, and the backend services tying it all together. You work across the stack without needing to be handed a ticket for every layer.

What you'll work on:

• Companion app and general UI surfaces — clean, fast, and intuitive
• Home integrations (Matter, kitchen appliances, locks Alexa, Google Home, etc.)
• Backend services and APIs the device and clients depend on
• BLE/Wi-Fi device communication — pairing, state sync, real-time data
• Integration of AI features (voice, vision) into the product experience

What we need:

• 6+ years across frontend and backend, with shipped production experience on both sides
• Strong in React or equivalent for web/UI; mobile experience is a plus but not the focus
• Solid backend skills — API design, databases, cloud infra (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Ideally Familiarity with smart home ecosystems and protocols (Matter, Thread, or similar)
• Experience with connected hardware software (BLE, Wi-Fi) is a real plus
• Rust experience is a bonus
• On-site in Redwood City, CA.
