We are looking for: Software Engineer (Build and Release)
We are seeking a Software Engineer (Build & Release) to design, maintain, and improve a cross-platform build infrastructure targeting our module firmware in both Windows and Linux environments. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable, repeatable builds and continuous integration pipelines across multiple source control systems. You will work closely with embedded software engineers to optimize build performance, improve automation, and maintain high standards of reliability and traceability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines
- Support builds across Windows and Linux build servers
- Integrate and maintain workflows across Gerrit, Bitbucket, and GitLab
- Troubleshoot build, integration, and deployment issues
- Improve build reliability, speed, and scalability
- Maintain build scripts, tooling, and documentation
- Collaborate with development and QA teams on build and release processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience administering and developing pipelines in Jenkins
- Strong working knowledge of Git-based source control systems
- Experience supporting both Windows and Linux build environments
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Groovy)
- Experience diagnosing and resolving CI/CD pipeline failures
- Understanding of build automation concepts and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Gerrit, Bitbucket, and GitLab simultaneously
- Familiarity with artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, Artifactory)
- Experience with containerized or virtualized builds
- Knowledge of secure code review and gated check-in workflows
- Experience scaling CI/CD systems for large or distributed teams
- Background in DevOps or release engineering
