Infrastructure Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled infrastructure specialist engineer to provide onsite technical support, administration, and maintenance of enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidates will possess strong expertise in virtualisation, Microsoft server administration, and network infrastructure management.

Key Responsibility:

• Conduct customer workshops, assessments, and infrastructure audits to identify current-state challenges and future-state requirements.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions based on Lenovo systems, VMware virtualization, Nutanix HCI, Microsoft, and Red Hat technologies.
• Provide expert advisory services on modernization, cloud adoption, hybrid cloud integration, and infrastructure transformation.
• Lead infrastructure deployment projects, including migrations, upgrades, capacity expansions, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with pre-sales teams to validate proposed designs and provide input during solutioning.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Lenovo data centre solutions, VMware environments, Microsoft services, and Red Hat workloads.
• Ensure proper documentation of architecture, designs, implementation steps, and handover materials.
• Provide knowledge transfer and technical training sessions to client IT teams.
• Advise customers on governance, compliance, security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, develop proof-of-concepts, and recommend adoption strategies to clients.

Qualifications & Skills:

• University graduate in computer/IT/electronics or a related area.
• Shall be VMware VCP 7 or higher certified.
• Shall have experience in administration of SAN storage and VPLEX.
• Minimum of Four (4) years’ experience in installing, customising, and maintaining advanced VMware solutions and critical SAN environments, preferably in the banking sector.
• Must have experience in administration of Cisco UCS hardware & software environments.
• Must have experience in Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 (system & security administration).
• Must have experience in administration of Microsoft SQL 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019 (system & security administration).
• Must have experience in the administration of Red Hat Linux.
• Shall be Dell solution architect certified (mid-range).
• Nutanix: AHV, Prism Central, Nutanix Files/Objects, cluster scaling, and DR.
• Should have the ability to work individually and to work with the IT team.
