Junior/Mid DevOps Engineer

We develop the digital infrastructure that enables water utilities to monitor, manage, and optimize their water networks through SmartVille, our Integrated IoT Management Information System.

SmartVille connects smart water meters, sensors, communication networks, and advanced analytics into a unified platform, providing real-time visibility across the entire water distribution system. By transforming data into actionable insights, it helps utilities improve operational efficiency, reduce water losses, optimize resource management, and deliver smarter, more reliable services to consumers.

We are looking for a Junior/Mid DevOps Engineer who will work on developing, testing, and maintaining our infrastructure. Our ideal team member will have the proper engineering expertise as well as deep knowledge of operating systems and cloud infrastructures. You will operate in a high-end environment with state-of-the-art systems and approaches, joining a team of data specialists. We will rely on you to improve the overall system reliability, efficiency, and quality of our architecture and data by designing and implementing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of experts from various fields to provide better end-user solutions.
• Lead infrastructure maintenance and enhancement.
• Take full responsibility for infrastructure provisioning and automation tasks.
• Optimise, improve, monitor and troubleshoot our CI/CD pipelines.
• Follow best practices and stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working on and administering Linux systems.
• Good knowledge of shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with container and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Strong command of the English language.

Good to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Experience with Azure, Amazon Web Services or any other Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Agile delivery (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).
• Engineering craftsmanship with experience in software development processes focusing on testing, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), monitoring and writing documentation.
