Role Overview
Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Platform Engineer II in Aliso Viejo, CA to work with multiple Kubernetes CNIs utilizing underlying systems built on both eBPF and Iptables.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience developing and securing new services for the infrastructure using Docker, Typescript and Golang; developing and deploying the needed infrastructure to monitor specialized micro-services using Prometheus/Grafana, Elastic Stack and eBPF programs (Cilium); debugging containerized micro-services, running in Kubernetes, in a Linux environment; providing technical support for debugging and testing the new code using GDB, linux network suite, and wireshark; researching emerging Kubernetes technologies to provide technical feedback and evaluation versus current system stack; engineering implementation details for new systems by integrating into current systems stacks; providing general Kubernetes day-to-day support to users of company technology stack; and identifying and resolving security, efficiency, cost, and process deficiencies in the current technology stack.
- Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$189,805 - $265,900/year
