IT System Engineer – Storage (m/f/d) | Hybrid/Remote | Heidelberg / Leipzig / Dresden | up to €65,000

We are currently supporting an international organisation looking for an IT System Engineer – Storage (m/f/d) to join their team.

Your responsibilities:

• Administration, operation and further development of storage infrastructure
• Investigation and resolution of system and performance issues
• Optimisation and automation of existing technologies and processes
• Supporting technical projects and infrastructure initiatives
• Collaboration with internal and international teams
• Contributing to the implementation of new concepts and technologies

What we're looking for:

• Minimum 1.5 years of relevant professional experience
• Hands-on administration experience with NetApp storage systems (ONTAP/Clustered ONTAP) or Ceph storage clusters — genuine depth required, not just certification-level exposure
• Linux administration and scripting experience (Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, or Python) beneficial
• Shift availability required
• Fluent English required; German is a plus but not essential
• Already based in Germany near Heidelberg, Leipzig or Dresden, or willing to relocate
• Residence and work eligibility within Germany required
• Due to the nature of the environment, only EU or NATO nationals can be considered
