Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering
- Design, implementation, and operations of hybrid environments (public cloud + on-prem)
- Manage and optimize virtualization platforms including VMware and oVirt
- Partner with network, security, and application teams to support enterprise-wide initiatives
- Ensure stability, security, and performance of Linux and Windows server environments
- Standardize builds, patching, and lifecycle management
- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation initiatives using tools like Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash
- Reduce manual operations and improve deployment consistency
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity; proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability
- Partner with network, security, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives
- Support large-scale programs including migrations, modernization, and separation activities
- Maintain clear documentation of architecture, processes, and operational procedures
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in systems or infrastructure engineering
- Strong expertise in hybrid cloud environments and virtualization (VMware, oVirt)
- Deep knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced environments and manage competing priorities
- Experience with public cloud platforms (OCI, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Zabbix, etc.)
- Experience in large-scale transformation or infrastructure separation program
