Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Systems Engineer to support and maintain enterprise applications in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/OpenShift, production support, automation, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).


Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage enterprise applications on AWS or IBM Cloud.
  • Deploy and maintain applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
  • Work with Istio for service mesh and traffic management.
  • Manage production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve system reliability.
  • Build automation using Shell/Python scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Monitor applications using tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK, or Geneos.
  • Troubleshoot REST APIs, messaging systems (Kafka, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS), and databases.


Required Skills

  • Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or cloud platforms.
  • Experience with AWS or IBM Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Istio.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux, Shell scripting/Python Scripting
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK, or Geneos.
  • Understanding security concepts including SSO, LDAP/AD, TLS/SSL, and MFA.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Exposure to Generative AI/LLMs or AI-driven automation is a big plus.
