Senior Backend Developer (Node.js / NestJS)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to build and maintain a scalable, high-performance venue booking and event management platform. You will work on complex business logic, real-time systems, and multiple third-party integrations in an enterprise-grade architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs using NestJS (Node.js + TypeScript)

Implement complex modules such as booking management, payments, and user roles

Build and maintain modular, domain-driven architecture

Integrate third-party services (payments, notifications, analytics, etc.)

Implement authentication & authorization (JWT, RBAC)

Optimize database queries and ensure high performance

Handle real-time features like push notifications

Develop file processing systems (PDF, Excel, media handling)

Ensure code quality with testing, linting, and best practices

Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and DevOps teams

Required Skills

Strong experience in Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript

Expertise in PostgreSQL (schema design, optimization)

Experience with Redis (caching, sessions)

Solid understanding of REST API design principles

Experience with authentication & security (JWT, OAuth, RBAC)

Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and clean architecture

Hands-on with third-party integrations (Firebase, Twilio, Email services)

Experience with AWS (S3, EC2) or similar cloud platforms

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and production deployments

Preferred Skills

Experience with event-driven architecture / message queues

Knowledge of GraphQL

Experience in payment gateway integrations (Stripe, PayPal)

Familiarity with monitoring tools (Sentry, logging systems)

Experience in document generation (PDF, Excel) and image processing

Understanding of performance optimization and scalability
