What You'll Be Doing
As a Software Engineer, Backend, in the Business Team, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of digital payments by designing and building scalable, high-quality systems. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:
- Own the Story Lifecycle: Complete the entire story lifecycle from intake to production release, ensuring all requirements are met for product stories.
- Build Business Financial Systems: Develop and maintain services for fee calculations, invoicing, payout orchestration, and settlement flows to ensure accuracy for thousands of businesses.
- Deliver Compliance & Reporting Solutions: Contribute to systems handling periodic reviews, risk assessments, and transaction reporting to support regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to Technical Excellence: Conduct technical analysis for standard scope stories and implement robust, scalable back-end solutions.
- Work in an AI Engineering Culture: Use AI as a core part of your engineering workflow to accelerate development and deepen analysis while keeping quality and judgment at the center.
- Grow Your Technical Voice: Share your vision with the team through code reviews and technical discussions, building the skills to become a technical reference for the pod.
- Ensure Quality and Stability: Accurately estimate effort, resolve blockers promptly, and participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Document and Communicate: Create comprehensive technical documentation for the features you build and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience & Technical Foundations: You have at least 3 years of industry experience working with Java and a foundational understanding of cloud platforms (AWS is a plus).
- Teamwork and Communication: You are able to communicate clearly and professionally, contributing to team-level knowledge sharing and building trust with peers.
- Financial Domain Awareness: You have an interest in – or experience with – financial systems such as billing, invoicing, payouts, or settlement processes.
- User Focus: You care about the end result and how the back-end supports a great experience for businesses. A genuine interest in FinTech is a plus.
- Language proficiency: You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

This range is set using objective, gender-neutral criteria for the role's core requirements. However, we do not believe in putting a ceiling on talent. The final compensation package is tailored according to your unique experience and expertise.
