Software Engineer (Java / C#)

Project: Development and Enhancement of POEMS 3 (Trading Application) and Phillip Website

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot / Spring MVC) and/or C# (.NET).
• Develop and maintain API endpoints, business logic, and system integrations for trading applications and web-based platforms.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and follow clean code and software development best practices.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, mobile, QA, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and system improvements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure system stability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of software development processes.
• Use Git, Bitbucket, branching workflows, Pull Requests, and CI/CD pipelines for daily development and collaboration.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software development or backend development.
• Hands-on experience in Java development with Java 8 / 11 / 17 and Spring Boot / Spring MVC, or C# with .NET.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software development best practices.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, branching workflows, and Pull Request processes.
• Basic understanding of JSON, JWT, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
