- 5+ years of professional software engineer, control plane & orchestration experience.
- Advanced English is required.
- Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
- Demonstrated experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
- Proven experience developing platform APIs that are consumed by multiple internal or external engineering teams.
- Strong experience designing RESTful APIs with emphasis on reliability, consistency, idempotency, and versioning.
- Demonstrated experience building event-driven or message-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous workflows, orchestration patterns, and distributed coordination.
- Proven experience designing highly available backend services.
- Strong expertise with Kubernetes, including Operators, Controllers, and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-tenant Kubernetes environments.
- Experience deploying and operating cloud-native applications in production.
- Proven experience designing storage solutions utilizing object, file, block, or container storage.
- Strong understanding of distributed system consistency models, fault tolerance, and failure recovery.
- Practical experience implementing observability using metrics, logging, tracing, and monitoring solutions.
- Experience collaborating closely with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams.
- Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Solid background working with GitOps deployment methodologies.
- Deep experience working with air-gapped or highly regulated Kubernetes environments.
- Hands-on experience building orchestration platforms for distributed infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of networking infrastructure, service meshes, or proxy architectures.
- Familiarity with multi-cluster Kubernetes deployments.
- Experience building internal developer platforms or platform engineering solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud-native storage technologies.
- Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
- Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
- Forensic attention to detail.
- A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
- Experience working on Agile / Scrum teams.
- Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
