Requirements

We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team and play a key role in delivering high-quality software. You'll bring your testing expertise to design thoughtful test strategies, drive issues to resolution, and help shape QE best practices - partnering closely with developers and product managers to validate features and lead regression efforts.

What You'll Do

Test Execution & Strategy

  • Design and execute test plans across Web, API, and/or Data components, proactively identifying coverage gaps.

  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.

  • Identify, document, and track defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, root-cause context, and impact analysis.

  • Create and maintain test data and environments needed for execution.

  • Troubleshoot and investigate issues independently - reproducing defects, gathering logs, and validating fixes.

  • Build and maintain test scripts and automation, contributing to frameworks and team standards.

Collaboration & Ownership

  • Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Own assigned testing areas and drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve ambiguity and unblock issues.

  • Mentor junior QE team members as needed.

Quality Practices & AI Tools

  • Apply and help refine QE standards and processes (test case structure, defect reporting, regression workflows).

  • Contribute to SDLC quality practices and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, retros).

  • Use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to write and improve test automation scripts and snippets.

  • Leverage AI tools to generate and refine test case ideas from requirements or user stories.

  • Use AI-enhanced search across bug tracking and documentation systems to speed up investigation and reduce duplicate work.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related technical role.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration testing).

  • Working knowledge of testing concepts and terminology (test cases, test data, defects, severity/priority).

  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of deliverables.

  • Comfort using GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini, AI test generators) to support scripting, test design, and information discovery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java) for test automation.

  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).

  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., Xray, TestRail).

  • Track record of using AI-powered tools professionally to improve testing efficiency or coverage.
