Software Developer

Position Summary

Responsible for developing and maintaining customized software in support of the Operating Companies (OpCos) nationwide distribution business. Deliver a high level of internal customer service by using open-source technology to solve real world problems with creativity, attention to detail and making business processes more efficient and effective. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Major Functional Responsibilities

• Multi-talented developer / programmer with proficiency in interpreted languages.
• Applications utilized consist of web applications, data translation and transmission, and a wide range of developer-enhanced business processes.
• Upgrade, enhance, and maintain Python and Ruby code bases that interact with a MySQL backend.
• Address support tickets which are focused both on enhancements to various applications as well as maintaining them appropriately.
• Complete effective documentation of application development work.
• Special projects, as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

∙ High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

∙ 4 - 6 Years of experience in Information technology with extensive experience in ASP.NET and C# development; experience with MS SQL Server databases, XML and Web Services
