Job Description
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an intermediate-level Web Developer II to join Academic Technology Web Services, a unit within UFIT.
UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator.
Web Services supports the University’s web presence through administering content management systems, developing theme resources and minor applications, reviewing and updating existing sites, migrating content, and producing graphical elements.
Some Key Responsibilities And Characteristics Of This Position Are
- Developing reusable web components
- Problem-solving web-related requests from stakeholders around campus
- Remediating WCAG accessibility violations

Expected Salary
$70,000-$70,316; commensurate based on education and experience.
Required Qualifications

Preferred
The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, communications, or a web-related field
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of web information and technical tools to apply web developing trends within the organizational infrastructure
- Knowledge of collaborative techniques and ability to promote a culture of information sharing and working together to solve business problems and meet business goals
- Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions
- Understanding of the necessity of continuous personal growth; ability to gauge one’s strengths, limitations and interests, and use of this knowledge for purposes of performance effectiveness and self-development
- Knowledge of and ability to research, identify and apply formal disciplines and best practices for improving the quality and costs related to product development
This is not a remote work position and is located in Gainesville, FL.
