Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Oracle SQL , Ellucian Banner, and Linux is preferred.

Job Description Summary

The University of South Alabama’s Computer Services Center is seeking to hire a Computer Programmer. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

• Serves as support for University departments to include Student Services, Payroll, Human Resources, Financial Aid and Finance.
• Under direct supervision, develops, tests, and implements computer programs on multiple computer/operating system platforms.
• Writes and maintains ad hoc reports on an Oracle Database.
• Provides backup support to other Computer Center staff, including answering questions and troubleshooting various systems.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
• Related duties as required.
