Software Developer

Our client, a leading manufacturer in Brantford, Ontario, is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Software Developer to join their progressive team, on site, 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document applications to meet business requirements
• Modify and maintain existing applications
• Provide technical support to end users for applications
• Build, maintain, troubleshoot production and test web servers and database servers
• Develop applications to work with peripherals (label printers, scanners)
• Communicate with both internal and external personnel, including employees and product manufacturers
• Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Software Engineering or Software Development
• 5 years of experience in a similar role with a preference from a manufacturing environment
• ASP.NET (C# and VB.NET), Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Visual Studio and MySQL
• Web services, XML, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery and CSS
• Knowledge of ReactJS (mandatory)
• Understanding of OO techniques and relational data models
• Subversion and TFS version control
• Superb attention to detail
• Strong math skills

Salary Range: $65k-$70k
