About the Opportunity:

An innovative European manufacturer specialising in advanced computer vision and inspection machinery is looking to expand its engineering team with the addition of a Computer Vision Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge vision systems used in industrial environments, combining software development with hands-on customer interaction.

The role is primarily remote during development phases, while also offering regular travel to customer sites to support implementation, integration and optimisation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and optimise computer vision applications for industrial inspection systems.
• Develop software using C++ and OpenCV for image processing and machine vision solutions.
• Analyse customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Commission, test and optimise systems at customer locations across Europe.
• Work closely with customers to provide technical support during implementation and development activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges both remotely and on-site.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Commercial experience developing software in C++.
• Strong knowledge of OpenCV and image processing techniques.
• Experience working with computer vision applications.
• Fluent German and English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites for project delivery.
• Comfortable working in a customer-facing technical environment.

Considered a plus:

• Basic knowledge of electronics or electrical engineering.
• Experience with industrial automation, machine vision or inspection systems.
• Experience commissioning or integrating hardware and software solutions.
