Senior Golang developer

We are looking for a Senior Golang developer to join our Bluebeam team.

YOUR DAILY CHALLENGES

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, production-ready backend services using Go (Golang);
• Build and optimise distributed systems and event-driven workflows, ensuring reliability and performance at scale;
• Work with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and AWS cloud-native services;
• Design and optimise relational and NoSQL database schemas, queries, and data pipelines for large datasets;
• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate technologies and architectural decisions;
• Collaborate in an Agile environment, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives;
• Document system designs, code, and operational procedures while sharing knowledge across teams.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on building scalable, high-performance backend services;
• Strong backend development experience in Go (Golang) for production-ready, maintainable services;
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms and cloud-native services for building scalable backend solutions;
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design, query optimisation, and managing large datasets;
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development;
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for distributed, high-throughput systems;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills withthe ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams;
• Excellent English proficiency (written and verbal).

CONSIDERED A PLUS

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation;
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins);
• Background in performance optimisation and capacity planning for high-traffic systems.
