The Role

We are looking for a Principal / Lead Software Engineer to own the design and development of a new platform segment within the company’s core infrastructure.

We are looking for a strong systems engineering/ architecture mindset, someone who enjoys solving complex engineering problems, designing reliable distributed systems, and making architectural decisions that shape the future of the platform.

You’ll build backend systems that process real-time security data at scale, with a focus on performance, reliability, resilience, and long-term maintainability.

The primary language is Go (Golang) within a cloud-native environment built on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure. While Go experience is preferred, the team values strong engineering fundamentals and systems thinking; experienced engineers can leverage AI-assisted development tools to become productive in Go quickly.


Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and development of core platform infrastructure components.
  • Design and build scalable distributed systems and backend services.
  • Make technical decisions around system design, performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Define service boundaries, data flows, and interactions across platform components.
  • Build reliable systems with strong focus on testing, observability, and production readiness.
  • Participate throughout the full development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to deployment and production operations.
  • Improve platform capabilities, automation, and engineering efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers across teams and provide technical leadership and mentorship when needed.
  • Requirements

    • Strong experience designing and building production-grade software systems.
    • Strong distributed systems and backend engineering experience.
    • A systems engineering mindset with the ability to reason about scalability, reliability, and complex technical trade-offs.
    • Experience building cloud-native applications and working with modern infrastructure.
    • Experience with Go (Golang) or the ability to become highly productive in Go quickly.
    • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure environments.
    • Experience with observability, monitoring, and operating production systems.
    • Strong understanding of software quality practices, automated testing, and reliability engineering.
    • Experience contributing to architecture decisions and driving technical direction.
    • Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical initiatives.
