The Role

We're looking for a passionate technical leader who takes full ownership of critical systems; from inventory algorithm optimization to seamless integrations with the world's largest e-commerce ecosystems.

You are a modern builder, you use AI coding assistants to write boilerplate and speed up your workflow, but your deep engineering intuition is what ensures our systems are scalable, secure, and resilient. You'll set the standard for operational efficiency in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Development

• Design & Scale: Architect robust infrastructure that supports exponential fulfillment growth.
• Lead Decisions: Drive technical architecture decisions, ensuring resilient, maintainable, and highly available systems.
• Build APIs: Develop high-performance APIs that integrate Cubbo with global marketplaces and carriers.

Engineering Excellence

• AI-Accelerated Output: Leverage AI tools (Claude Code, Gemini, Copilot) to 10x your development speed, while applying senior-level human judgment to review, refine, and secure the generated code.
• Code Quality: Set and uphold high code quality standards through thorough PR reviews and mentorship of junior engineers.
• Optimization: Optimize database performance and system latency for a seamless user experience.
• Automation: Champion CI/CD best practices and automation to accelerate delivery cycles without compromising stability.

Product & Innovation

• Cross-functional Alignment: Work closely with Product and Operations teams to translate business needs into elegant technical solutions.
• Proactive Improvement: Propose tech improvements that reduce operational costs or enhance real-time inventory visibility.
• Incident Management: Resolve complex production incidents with root-cause analysis and a long-term prevention mindset.

What we are looking for

Hard Skills

• Programming Mastery: Advanced proficiency in modern programming languages (Ruby, Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript).
• AI-Assisted Workflow: Daily active use of AI coding assistants (Claude, Gemini, Copilot) paired with the fundamental knowledge required to debug and architect beyond the AI's limits.
• Database Management: Advanced SQL database management, primarily PostgreSQL.
• Testing & Tooling: Solid experience implementing automated testing (Unit, Integration, E2E) and monitoring tooling.
• Cloud (Bonus): Experience with cloud services (AWS) and container orchestration is a big plus.

Soft Skills

• AI Pragmatism: You know exactly when to trust AI to speed up a task, and when to rely on your own deep technical expertise and critical thinking.

• Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce, or FinTech startups.
• Open source contributions.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify or Mercado Libre integrations.
• Intermediate English for international technical collaboration; Portuguese is a bonus.
