About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team developing scalable cloud-based solutions for the healthcare technology industry. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, production-ready software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Go (Golang).
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions and evaluate technical trade-offs for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Optimize application performance and proactively identify system bottlenecks.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, including unit tests.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing production applications.
• Contribute to technical documentation and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience developing backend applications.
• Strong professional experience with Go (Golang).
• Experience building cloud-native applications using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design and query optimization.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience deploying and supporting production applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience developing software for regulated industries such as healthcare or medical devices is a plus.
