Senior Full Stack Engineer - Remote - Latin America

We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a VC-backed healthcare technology company building AI-enabled solutions that support brain and cognitive health. In this role, you'll work directly with executive, clinical, and operational leaders to design, build, and scale products that improve patient experiences and streamline healthcare operations. This is an opportunity for an experienced builder who combines strong full-stack engineering expertise with a passion for AI, healthcare, and startup environments. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of products supporting patient care, clinical operations, and internal business processes.
• Partner directly with executive and clinical stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Build scalable full-stack applications and cloud-native services.
• Design and implement AI-powered workflows, automation systems, and agentic processes.
• Develop integrations with EMRs, billing systems, CRMs, marketing platforms, and external healthcare vendors.
• Support healthcare interoperability initiatives utilizing standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
• Ensure systems meet healthcare privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
• Own projects from architecture and planning through deployment and ongoing optimization.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, speed, and continuous improvement.

Core Requirements

• 10+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience using technologies such as Python, Go, Ruby, or similar.
• Experience building modern frontend applications with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, or similar database technologies.
• Proven experience building and scaling production systems on AWS or GCP.
• Strong experience developing AI-enabled products, automation workflows, or agentic systems.
• Experience using AI technologies to improve engineering productivity and business processes.
• Previous experience working in healthcare technology, digital health, or patient-care focused organizations.
• Experience with healthcare integrations, interoperability standards, and healthcare data workflows.
• Experience integrating with third-party business and healthcare platforms.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare security best practices.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with healthcare EMR platforms and integrations.
• Experience with workflow automation and orchestration platforms such as n8n.
• Familiarity with CRM, project management, and operational tooling.
• Experience with connected health ecosystems such as Apple Health, Google Health, Oura, or similar platforms.
• Experience with SOC 2, HITRUST, or similar compliance frameworks.

• US Timezone Overlap: Significant overlap with U.S. East Coast hours preferred.
